You Gotta Learn to Live with What You Are
Ben Folds

I'm not sure what this song is from, but my friend really likes this song. It's
all orchestra and everything when he does it, but if you pick the chords for the
first verse, and start strumming at the pre-chorus (And now that the gig is
up...), it doesn't sound all that bad!

My voice is lower then Ben Folds though, so I did change the key lower. I believe he plays it in E?
Of course, you could simplify all the base notes in the song to the root chord or
whatever it's called, but it sounds nicer if you can hit it all!

Verse:
G Bm C
I know that you’re in there
	G Bm C
I can see you
G Bm C
You’re saying you’re okay
		G Bm C
I don’t believe you

	C D G G/F# G/B D	C
And now that the gig is up, the spell is broken
       D G G/F# G/B D C
The fat lady’s sung, the president has spoken
          D G G/F# G/B D C
These days that you were waiting for will come and go
		D
Like any day, just another day

Chorus:
G D /F# Bm C
There’s never gonna be a moment of truth for you
G D /F# Bm C
While the world is watching, ohh ohh
C D G G/F# G/B D C
Ohh, All you need is the thing you’ve forgotten
 C D C G D G
And that’s to learn to live with what you are.

G Bm C
So freak out if you want to
	G Bm C
And I’ll still be here
G Bm C
Don’t call me for years, and when you do,
		G Bm C
Yeah, I’ll still be here
C D G G/F# G/B D C
And I’m not saying that the effort is a waste of time, but I
     	D G G/F# G/B D C
Just want you for the things you couldn’t change, but you tried
     	D G G/F# G/B D C
These hours of confusion they will soon expire like
C D
	Everything does.

Bridge:

C Bm Em
Sometimes everything you`ve ever wanted floats above
				D
It`s stickin`out its tongue and laughing while
Cm7 Bm Em
Everything that anyone could ever need is down below
		   D
Waiting for you to know this

A E/G# C#m D
There`s never gonna be a moment of truth for you

A E C#m D
While the world is watching, Ohh, Ohh, Ohh

D E A A/G# A/F# A
Cause all you need is the thing you`ve forgotten

D E D
And that`s to learn to live with what you are
D E D
You`ve got to learn to live with what you are
D (let ring) A
You`ve got to live with what you are
