[Verse]
G D Am
I could have treated you better

But you couldn't have treated me worse

G D Am
When the last word has been spoken
  G D Am
And we've beared witness to the final setting sun
G D Am
All that shall remain is a token
G D Am
Of what we've said and done
G D Am
When all we've had has been forsaken
G D Am
Distant church bells no longer ring
G DAm
That's the sound of a heart taken
G D Am
And the story of tears from a king
      G Cadd9
The stones from my enemies
G Cadd9
These wounds will mend
   Em D
But I cannot survive

[Verse]
This may be the last time I see you
Forgive me for holding you close
This may be the last time that I see you
So of this moment I will make the most
This may be the last time I see you
But if you keep me in your heart
Together we shall be eternal
If you believe
We shall never part

      G Cadd9

Just heard this amazing song in concert, he plays it on his lap slide guitar but it is DEFINITELY NOT in standard tuning, it is open D or something REALLY LOW. Juan on the 5 string bass is playing on the third fret of the low B string so I am assuming it is in D.

Anyone know? Haven't heard the album version yet, waiting for my albums to come!
