Hey Guys. This is Ben Rector's song Forever Like That on the album The Walking in
Between. Standard Tuning - Capo 4

[Intro]

E-A-E-A-E

[Verse 1]

     E A E
Well I'll be your rainy day lover.
   F#m B (F#/Bsus4 Bsus2/F#)
Whenever the sunny days end.
        E E7 A E
And whatever the weather, we have each other.
    F#m B A E
And that's how the story will end

[Verse 2]

     E A E
Well I'll be your shade tree in summer
    F#m B(F#/Bsus4 Bsus2/F#)
If you'll be my fire when it's cold.
        E E7 A E
And whatever the season, well, we'll keep on breathing.
      F#m B A E
Cause we'll have each other to hold.
     B (Bsus4/F# Bsus2/F#)
I'll hold you- I'll sing.

[Chorus 1]

A E B E
I wanna love you, forever I do.
A E B (Bsus4/F# Bsus2/F#)
I wanna spend all of my days with you.
     A E G# C#m
I'll carry your burdens and be the wind at your back.
A E B(F#/Bsus4 Bsus2/F#)
I wanna spend my forever

forever like that.

[Instrumental]

(E - A - E - A - E)

[Verse 3]

     E A E
Well I'll be the words on the pages.
   F#m B(F#/Bsus4 Bsus2/F#)
If you'll be my sweet melody.
        E E7 A E
And the tune can keep changing, cause I'll keep arranging.
     F#m B A E
And this is the song that we'll sing.

     B (F#/Bsus4 Bsus2/F#)
I'll hold you - I'll sing.

[Chorus 2]

A E B E

I wanna spend all of my days with you.

I'll carry your burdens and be the wind at your back.
A E B(F#/Bsus4 Bsus2/F#)
I wanna spend my forever

[Verse 4]

         F#m A E
When the rain comes, I'll be your shelter.
         F#m A E
When the wind blow, we'll be together.
         F#m A E B(F#/Bsus4 Bsus2/F#)
When the storms they rise, I'll be right here by your side.

And I'll sing

After the G# Chord in the chorus is C#m not C#

If you move it up 3 steps then its a really easy song out of G, capo 1. Sounds just as good to hammer on Dsus as it does to do your version.
^^^that guy is right about the minor chord in the chorus too. Out of G its an Em rather than an E.

Other than that its a great tab. Good job!

I think that He actually plays this Capo 6.
same notes though, so the E becomes a D, The A becomes a G, the F#m becomes an Em, the B and its inversions are based off of A, then the C#m becomes Bm and the G# becomes F#

you can also hammer on the high e string on the d chord and it sounds like what he's doing. sounds more like studio recording and plays easier
