I was just going to comment on the other guys tab and ask if he could add the rest of the lyrics, but
then I noticed he hasn't been online in a year and a half. So I figured I'd do the honors, for those of us
who prefer not to learn the chords THEN look up the rest of the lyrics..

[Verse 1]

G C
I wouldn't make a sound if I wasn't so angry
  D G
I wouldn't be runnin' if there wasn't so far to go
  G C
I wouldn't keep on if there wasn't somethin' worth keepin'
  D G
I want to believe that this mountain can be moved
            Em D G
But this is only a song, it can't change the world

[Verse 2]

G C
I get a little scared when I'm drivin' through the ghetto
          D G
There's a part of me that wants to hide, there's a part of me that wants to move in
                   G C
'Cause even though I, I grew up in the suburbs
  D G
I didn't really grow 'til I learned how so many others live
            Em D G
But this is only a song, it can't change the world

[Verse 3]

    G C
I'm diggin', diggin' deep in myself
    D G
But who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine
G C
This ain't the world that I want to give him
       D G
People racin' 'roudnin cars in cities you can't even walk across
            Em D G
But this is only a song, it can't change the world

[Verse 4]

       G C
I been thinkin' about providence and cravin' a rootbeer float
  D G
I didn't make these rules but it's come time for us to row this boat
              G C
And on the horizon, I see windmills sproutin' up in rows
        D G
There's young folks farmin' and a few that are gonna vote
            Em D G
But this is only a song, it can't change the world

[Verse 5]

      G C
So why try, why even sing at all
  D G
I picture the harlem globetrotters dancin' like misquitos with a basketball
                G C
'Cause there is beauty in freedom, and folks like me
     D G
Came over on boats, flew in on planes, crawled under fences and fought wars just to find a place to be free
            Em D G
But this is only a song, it can't change the world
            Em D G
But this is only a song, it can't change the world
            Em D G
But this is only a song, it can't change the world
