Tuning: open F#: F#
                  A#
                  F#
                  C#
                  A#
                  F#

Tune your bottom E string down to F#, so that it matches the first chord played during the song.
Then tune on these frets (5-5-5-4-5 being standard tuning): 4-3-5-4-9

I am unsure of what these actual chords are as this is not a standardized tuning, so
with me and ignore the chord name; just follow the fingering.

F#: 0-0-0-0-0-0------------| (open strum)
F#add9: 0-0-0-12-0-0--|
D: 0-4-7-0-0-x---|
B7: 5-5-0-0-0-0---|
B: 0-0-0-5-0-0---|
A#: 0-0-0-4-0-0---|
G#: 0-0-0-2-0-0---|
C#: 7-7-0-0-0-0---|
E: 10-10-0-0-0-0-|

Outro: And I move on, and I am aching etc.

You are basically playing variations of the chord phrases you found in the song, with
exception of this little ditty:

Open strumming the entire time! (meaning strum all 6 strings) just slide your index
onto the notes:

F#|--0----------------|
A#|--0----------------|
F#|--0-h-2-\-4--------|
C#|--0----------4-----|
A#|--0------------3---|
F#|--0----------------|

Once you've figured out the timing, the song is relatively simple.

Remember, do NOT follow the chord names or their formatting. This is a NON-STANDARD tuning.

Without having tried this tuning yet, nor being an expert on alternative tunings, it seems that tuning D to F# (up 4 semitones) and G to C# (-6) could be substituted? This would make D go to C# (-1) and G to F# (-1).

I would really like to try this out when I get home, but don't want to wreck my D-string. Or am I missing an important point here?
