Song: Millstone
Artist: Brand New

Legend:

// Slide
b bend
r release

[Intro]

This also continues in the verse and pre chorus

e|---------------------------------------------------------------------|

g|---------------------------------------------------------------------|
d|---------------------------------------------------------------------| X 5

e|----------------------------------------------------------------------|

a|---------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------------------------|

[Chorus]
(guitar 1 with distortion)
All the notes you play here on the b string should be kept ringing till you
play the next note on the same string. That will give the right kind of effect.

g|-6-6---6-4-4---4-6-6---6-4-4---4-2-2---2-1-1-2-1-2-2---2-1-1----------|
d|-------------------------------------------------------------2//4-----|
a|----------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|----------------------------------------------------------------------|

[Guitar 2]
Chorus lead (this is very faintly audible)
try using neck pickups with chorus or flange here. Let the notes ring
e|----------------------------------------------------------------------|
b|-7-------9-------10------7-10-9--5-------9----5-10---5-9-----5//7-----|
g|----------------------------------------------------------------------|

[Guitar 3]
Chorus lead 2
the no. of times each note is played is varied a little towards th end of the

E|-----------------------------------------------------------------------|

[then play the verse again]

e|------------------------------------------------------------------------|
b|-7------9----10-12-12-12b(14)r(12)b-(14)--------------------------------|
g|------------------------------------------------------------------------|

e|-------0----------------0-----------|
b|-----0---0-----3-3----5-------------|

a|-2----------------------------------|
E|------------------------------------|

(with distortion, there are no drums playing here and there is no chorus lead)

e|------------------------------------------------------------------------|
b|-----5-------7-------5-------7-------2---------------2------------------|
g|-6-6---6-4-4---4-6-6---6-4-4---4-2-2---2-1-1-2-1-2-2---2-1-1------------|

a|------------------------------------------------------------------------|

Alternate Method (Easier play.... I have tiny hands and CANNOT reach from 5-10 in the verse)

e --------------------------------------4------5----4--5------------
b -7-9-----7-10---7-9--7--10---7//5--5------5-----5---5-----5//7----
g ------------------------------------------------------------------
d ------------------------------------------------------------------
a ------------------------------------------------------------------
E ------------------------------------------------------------------

yeah I don't know why you insist on stretching your hands 5-10 when you could easily 5-4 on the next string
