-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tabbed by: Totoralex

This song is pretty simple to play, you just have to use open chords through the whole song.

Tuning: EADGBe

D D7 G D
Hear the chimes, did you know that the wind when it blows
      G D A
It is older than Rome and all of this sorrow
	D D7 G D
See the new Pyramids down in old Manhattan
	  G D A
From the roof of a friend I watched an empire ending
Bm D
Heard it loud and long, the river's song
G A
Time marching on, to a mad man's drum

D D7 G D G D A

D D7
Don't forget what you've learned
G D
All you give is returned
      G D
And if life seems absurd
	  A
What you need is some laughter
	D D7
And a season to sleep
	G D
And a place to get clean
	G	D
Maybe Los Angeles
	   A
Somewhere no one's expecting

G
On a detox walk
G
Over Glendale Park
G
GOver sidewalk chalk
G D
Some rope read "start over"

G
So I muffle my scream
G
On an Oxnard beach
G F# Bm A
Full of fever dreams that scare me sober
A
Into saltless dinners

D D7 G D G D A

D D7 G D
Take the fruit from the tree, break the skin with your teeth
	G	D A
Is it bitter or sweet all depends on your timing
D D7
Like a meeting of chance
	  G D
With the train station glance
	G D	A
Many lifetimes have passed in a instant reminded
G
Of a millstone house in a seaside town
G D
When your heart gave out in a mission bed
G
So your wife gave birth to a funeral dirge
     F# Bm A
You woke up purged as a wailing infant
A
In Krug Thep, Thailand

D D7 G D G D A

D D7 G D G D A

D D7 G D
Hear the chimes, did you know that the wind when it blows
      G D A
It is older than Rome and all of this sorrow

D D7 G D G D G D

not a big deal and i dont know if you can edit it but the last line should be "and our joy and our sorrow" instead of "and all of this sorrow."

A few additional corrections to the lyrics. It's important for this kind of music haha.

"Heard it loud and long the river's Om"

"On a detox walk through a Glendale Park over sidewalk chalk
Someone wrote in red, "start over"
So I muffled my scream on an Oxnard beach
Full of fever dreams that scare you sober
Into salt-less dinners"
