Spent on Rainy Days
Home Volume IV: Bright Eyes and Brit Daniel

C#m G#
I wish I saved up for rainy days cause they're the hardest to be dry

        A G#
I got no self control

A G#
I'm always begging into telephones

C#m G#
I bought a little from my brother's friend, well, just to get me by

        A G#
I don't trust his cut

A G#
The effect's never as high as the mark-up

C#m G#
I think I'll print it in the personals that I'm looking for a match

           A G#
Someone to light me up,

           A G#
Someone to burn the proof of the things that I've done

F# E F#
Each day there are hours I skip like a stone

       A G#
I just crawl in a bag

          A G#
I'm gonna live my life like somebody's shadow

E C# 2x

C#m G#
I know I'm lazy with the little things, I mean I never held a door

            A G#
But I still loved you more,

     A G#
than anyone since or before

C#m G#
You are always saying that I owe you one, well, let's consolidate this debt

         A G#
Get on a payment plan,

             A G#
I'll pay you compliments, you can still treat me bad

C#m G#
But now it's easy, getting easier, to leave you and this town behind

             A G#
I'll do some traveling

                   A G#
Once I'm gone tell all our friends you got even

F# E F#
I'm held like an object and then set aside

        A G# A G#
And I'm back on the shelf, I'm locked in the drawer

    A G# A G#
I'm mint in the box, but you would still sell me for cost, wouldn't you?

C#m F# 2x

        C#m F#
I'll be anything... the cord of a parachute...

        C#m F#
I'll be anything... the blanket on top of you...

        C#m F#
I'll be anything... The window you're looking through...

        C#m F#
I'll be anything... the cord of a parachute...

              C#
The cord of a parachute...

              F#
The cord of a parachute...

C#m G#

I personally think using G#m in this place is wrong in the beginning of each verse.

C#minor F#
I wish I?d saved up for rainy days ?cause they?re the hardest to be dry.

F# just sounds right to me.

Otherwise I think it's 100%.
