[Verse 1]

F#m D F#m D
So you show me round your town, To Hell again and back,
F#m D A E
I love the certain way you made all the friends you depend on
F#m D F#m D
I know it might seem odd, cos you're not the only one
F#m D A E B
I remember myself as a lonely child so I was, and you got me wrong, You got me

[Chorus]

F#m A B F#m A B
Wrong just seems so right. Til the spark of morning light.
F#m A B F#m A B
And all those searching eyes, do they scald your tender hide?

[Verse 2]

F#m D F#m D
Remember what they say - there's no shorcut to a dream
F#m D A E
It's all blood and sweat, and life is what you manage in between.
F#m D F#m D
But what you don't know; is you're too young and eager to love.
F#m D A E B
Seething eyes see you're about to get in to the ditch that your old man dug

[Chorus]

F#m A B F#m A B
Wrong just seems so right. Til the spark of morning light.
F#m A B F#m A B
And all those searching eyes, do they scald your tender hide?

[Bridge]

B A F#m D
See the stars align, and leave you behind
B A F#m D
you want it so and I, I come by light of an Autumn moon
B A F#m D
sister you know enough, but for now just let it go,
B A F#m D
don't run, don't rush, just flow.

[Verse 3]

F#m A B
Through the give and take, you've had to learn.
F#m A B
How to cross the coals and not get burned.
F#m A B
But you're really just a little girl.
                F#m A D
Playing in the park til the sun goes down.

F#m D F#m D
So twenty-one arrives, one day your time is up
F#m D A E
no doubt you think you've braided your own hair, so you're all grown up.
F#m D F#m D
Should you want to cross the line, which way do you wanna find?
F#m D A E B
Pretending that love could help you find your way but you've got me wrong.
                      F#m
Yeah you've got me wrong.

Not 100% sure of some of the lyrics, particularly the chorus and the bridge, apart
from that, I think it's ok! Hope you enjoy!

Woops, "Playing in the park til the sun goes down" should end with a B instead of a D, just like the rest of the song.

I think the verse is actually:

F#m D F#m A F#m
Remember what they say, there's no shortcut to a dream

D A E F#m
It's all blood and sweat, and life is what you manage in between

You can hear it really clearly in this verse, but I think it's the same throughout.

Sorry man, I just saw this now :O I gotta disagree, I can't vouch 100% for the recording obviously, but the D definitely sounds closer to me.

If you can get to this link, James plays it live acoustically, and he's certainly doing the F#m D x2 then F#m D A E. If you look at the "Remember what they say" bit, you'll see it there. Again, maybe it is slightly different in the recording, but I'm sure they keys are based around the D chord too.

Thanks a lot for the comment though :)
