Mandolin Rain chords (worlds greatest dad film version )
Bruce Hornsby
by: Joseph Pitt

Verse: repeat same chords every verse
   Am C
The song came and went,
       C D
like the times that we spent,
       Am D G Am
hiding out from the rain under the carnival tent
Am C
Happen she d smile,
         C D
it would last for awhile,
          Am D C G Am
you don't know what you got, till you lose it all again

chorus: repeat these chords for chorus

Am C D
Listen to the mandolin rain,
C Am G
listen to the music on the lake;
C G D D G Am
listen to my heart break, every time she runs away
Am C D
Listen to the banjo wind,
C Am G
a sad song drifting low,
C G D D G Am
listen to the tears roll, down my face as she turns to go

So this is a pretty poor attempt that is now everywhere when you look for a tabbed version of this song. Doesn't even get you on the right track to figuring it out.

You may want to rate the tab now too:
