Ab Eb

To you have held your head high
 Db Eb Ab
Told all your friends of your Indian claim
 Eb Ab Ab Bb C
Proud good lady and proud good man
      Db Eb Ab
Some great great grandfather from Indian blood sprang
Eb Bb Eb Eb Db Bb
And you feel in your heart for these ones

VERSE:
          Ab Eb
Oh, it's written in books and in songs

That we've been mistreated and wronged
     Db Eb Ab

From you good lady and you good man
      Db Eb Ab

Consider dear lady, consider dear man
     Db Eb Ab
You left them their pride and you left them their lands
Eb Bb Eb Eb Db Bb

Or are you still taking our lands
   Db Eb Ab
A treaty forever your senators sign

They do dear lady, they do dear man
          Db Eb Ab
And the treaties are broken again and again
Eb Bb Eb Eb Db Bb
And what will you do for these ones

VERSE:
         Ab Eb

But it's still going on here today

The governments now want the Navaho land
 Eb Ab Ab Bb C
That of the Inuit and the Cheyenne

NOTE: In the verses you will notice at 2 places
the sequence of chords:

G A B (C)

and

D D C A

These can also be played instead as Bass runs ...in place
of chords as well... I prefer playing the chords. Use
whatever works best for you.
