          C#m E
When I am old, and comforted,
    B A
And done with this desire,
     C#m G#
With memory to share my bed
          C#m E
When I am old, and comforted,
    B A
And done with this desire,
     C#m G# C#m
With peace to share my fire

     C#m E B A
I'll comb my hair in scalloped bands
   C#m G#
Beneath my laundered cap,
    C#m E B A
And watch my cool and fragile hands
C#m G# C#m
Lie light upon my lap.

    B E
And I will have a sprigged gown
     B E
With lace to kiss my throat;
     B E
I'll draw my curtain to the town,
    G#
And hum a purring note.

    C#m E B A
And I'll forget the way of tears,
    C#m G#
And rock, and stir my tea.
    C#m E B A
But oh, I wish those blessed years
     C#m G# C#m
Were further than they be

    B E
And I will have a sprigged gown
     B E
With lace to kiss my throat;
     B E
I'll draw my curtain to the town,
    G#
And hum a purring note.

          C#m E
When I am old, and comforted,
    B A
And done with this desire,
     C#m G#
With memory to share my bed
          C#m E
When I am old, and comforted,
    B A
And done with this desire,
     C#m G# C#m
With peace to share my fire
     C#m G# C#m
With peace to share my fire

okay, this is the last time i bitch about this, but i still don't know why should guitarists remain so dumb in music theory for ever. why do you have to change G# to Ab? if you see it written as "Ab", it makes it easier for you to play it? because Ab in a song written in the key of C#m is like using a bow on a guitar. oh my god, this makes me so nervous all the time, and i know nobody reads this comment but whatever. grr
