About this tab version
Took both versions of the song (the original, kinda acoustic, and the movie version) to make this chord sheet for someone to play solo. There's a good deal of digital instruments doing a single tone below Chris' voice in the beggining, I've added the chords that comes after to make it more dynamic and in pair with how he played it live. 'Til The Sun Comes Back Around
Chris Cornell

From the "13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi" soundtrack

[intro]
E

[verse 1]
E F#m
Come to me in my darkest hour
A E
  When the sun goes down
                    F#m
And the fact that I never wandered
A E
  On unfamiliar ground
                  F#m
Maybe I'm walking on the wild
A B
That can never leave me out

[chorus]
     C#m B G#m A
So I hold tight to the edge of the night
      C#m B G#m A
And I fight on and wait for the light
      C#m B G#m A
And I hold fast to the here and the now
F#m B E
'Till the sun comes back around

E F#m A B E

[verse 2]
E F#m
How could I let so many miles
A E
  Come between our hearts?
                     F#m
Does it beat for the loving side
A E
  When the fighting starts?
                    F#m
Taught me well to unleash hell
A B
But not how to shut it down

[chorus]
     C#m B G#m A
So I hold tight to the edge of the night
      C#m B G#m A
And I fight on and wait for the light
      C#m B G#m A
And I hold fast to the here and the now
          F#m
'Till the sun comes back around

[bridge]
A B
Thoughts of you cut through the doom
       E A
As I'm standing on this wall
                  B
If I die, tell me will it matter
C#m A
Whichever side I have on the fall?
C#m A
No, my dear, it won't matter at all
F#m
  Oh my dear...
B
   It won't matter

[verse 3]
E F#m
Thoughts that flash in the calm that cast long
A B
  Shadows of doubt
   C#m B
No matter how far down your heart, then
A B Cdim
  They just spill our lives

[chorus]
     C#m B G#m A
So I hold tight to the edge of the night
      C#m B G#m A
And I fight on and wait for the light
      C#m B G#m A
And I hold fast to the here and the now

F#m B
Hope that tomorrow is found
    F#m
And I'm standing here
B E
When the sun comes back around

[outro]
E F#m A B E

The G#m in this are actually E/G#... I also like using F#m7/11 instead of regular F#m. Thanks!

You're right, especially looking at the live acoustic version. He's in drop D, capo 3, and you can clearly make out the chord he's playing there. Since you made me think about it more, I've realized that I like the E/G# only on the first go round of the chorus. Thanks!

1st verse is "In a fight that I never wanted, on unfamiliar ground. Maybe I'm walking on a wire, that could never lead me out". Verse 2 is "Does it beat for the love inside, when the fighting starts". The bridge is "whatever side I happen to fall". Verse 3 is "No matter how far down you hide them, they just spill right out".

Thanks! I've been spending a lot of time with this song over the last couple of weeks...
