Here's a simple little tune from Daughtry's new CD, Leave This Town. This seems
100% accurate to me, especially since it's not a hard song to play or to tab out at all.

[Verse]

Dm A#
I'm ten miles from town, and I just broke down
F C
Spitting out smoke on the side of the road
Dm A#
I'm out here alone, just trying to get home
F C
To tell you I was wrong, but you already know

[Pre-Chorus]

G A#
Believe I won't stop for nothin'
G A# C
To see you so I've started runnin'

[Chorus]

A# F
All that I'm after
C Dm
Is a life full of laughter
A# F C
As long as I'm laughing with you
A# F C Dm
And I think that all that still matters is the love and the laughter
A# C Dm
After the life we've been through
A# C Dm
'Cause I know there's no life after you

(The lead guitarist does a little solo, riff thing over top of the following chords):
Dm A# F C

[Verse]

Dm A#
The last time we talked, the night that I walked
F C
Burns like a light in the back of my mind
Dm A# F
I must've been high, to say you and I
                C
weren't meant to be an' just wasting my time

[Pre-Chorus]

G A#
Oh, why did I ever doubt you
G A# C
You know, I will die here without you

[Chorus]

A# F
All that I'm after
C Dm
Is a life full of laughter
A# F C
As long as I'm laughing with you
A# F C Dm
And I think that all that still matters is the love and the laughter
A# C Dm
After the life we've been through
A# C Dm
'Cause I know there's no life after you

[Bridge]

Dm A#
You and I, right or wrong, there's no other one
F C
After this time spent on
                            Dm
It's hard to believe that a man with sight could be so blind
A# F C
Thinkin' 'bout the better times, must've been outta my mind
C
So I'm running back to tell you

[Chorus]

A# F
All that I'm after
C Dm
Is a life full of laughter
A# F C
And now God knows what I'd do, yeah

A# F
All that I'm after
C Dm
Is a life full of laughter
A# F C
As long as I'm laughing with you
C
And I think that

A# F C Dm
And I think that all that still matters is the love and the laughter
A# C Dm
After the life we've been through, yeah
A# C A#
'Cause I know there's no life after you

[Outro]

A# F C
You know there's no life after you
A# F C
You know there's no life after you
A# F C
You know there's no life after you
A# F C
No, there's no life after you
F
Yeah

Enjoy!

great tab, i actually find it easier to put a capo on the first fret and play the power chords with the high e and b strings open...I'm pretty sure that may be what daughtry does too..

Hey, thanks for tabbing this out! It's currently my favourite track off the new record so it was cool to find this up already. Would be nice to know what the little solo run is, but the rest is top notch. Five stars for you, sir/lady.
