Capo 3.

[Intro]

Em B C G B7

[Verse 1]

Em B
2 a.m., where do I begin?
C G B7
Crying off my face again
Em B
The silent sounds of loneliness
C G B7
Wants to follow me to bed

[Pre-Chorus]

       C D G Em
I'm a ghost of a girl that I want to be most
         C D B
I'm the shell of a girl that I used to know well

[Chorus]

Em B
Dancing slowly in an empty room
C G B7
Can the lonely take the place of you?
   Em B
I sing myself a quiet lullaby
C G B7
Let you go and let the lonely in to take my heart again

[Interlude]

Em B

[Verse 2]

Em B
Too afraid to go inside
C G B7
For the pain of one more loveless night
Em B
But the loneliness will stay with me
C G B7
And hold me 'til I fall asleep

[Pre-Chorus]

       C D G Em
I'm a ghost of a girl that I want to be most
         C D B
I'm the shell of a girl that I used to know well

[Chorus]

Em B
Dancing slowly in an empty room
C G B7
Can the lonely take the place of you?
Em B
I sing myself a quiet lullaby
C G B7
Let you go and let the lonely in to take my heart again

[Bridge]

Em D G C
Broken pieces of
  Em D G Am G
A barely breathing story
Em D G C
Where there once was love
Em D G Am B7
Now there's only me and the lonely

[Chorus]

Em B
Dancing slowly in an empty room
C G B7
Can the lonely take the place of you?
Em B
I sing myself a quiet lullaby
C G B7
Let you go and let the lonely in to take my heart again

[Coda]

Em B C G B7

Beautiful...simply beautiful. I've finally found the perfect chords...and the perfect pitch...merci.
Just a suggestion for those who play this on the piano like i do, a B7 after the B just before the chorus sounds perfect....or maybe not? Try it,though. I liked the feel..
anyway~ me luv dis!
