Lysandre 7 by Christopher Owens.

This song (and the Lysandre album) is in the key of A, as said by Owens in an
interview, so this should be correct.

A C#m F#m C#m
You could act precocious, you could be ferocious

D E A*
You can run away from me and hide

A C#m F#m C#m
But I'm not gonna worry, I'm not in a hurry

D E A*
You will come around to me in time

       D E A F#m
Cause love is everything that you need

   D E A A7
It always comes back to love

D E A F#m
Kissin' and a-huggin' is the air that I breathe

D E A*
I'll always make time for love

A C#m F#m C#m
Maybe in a while, you'll give me a smile

I'll always make time for love

F#m C#m
I would love to kiss you in the moonlight

                      D A A7
Slowly dancing under starlight, in the summer ocean breeze

F#m C#m D
may could wish it let it go forever, and we'd lay around together

E (one strum) (guitar taps)
But I'm not gonna beg, so baby, come around to me.

it sounds correct when you play it, but when you listen to this http://youtu.be/yEKEf8zwFnk there's something different, can't say what exactly

It's the last little lick, its supposed to be A E A instead of D E A

The chorus should be changed in 2 areas. I think this might be more accurate. Tell me what you think.

D E A A7 A**
It always comes back to love

After simply pulling off to get A7 from A, slide A7 to A7(no3)/E, the chord below.
A** = 005050 = A7(no3)/E

Again here:
D A A7 A**
Slowly dancing under starlight, in the summer ocean breeze

----------------------------------------------------------- -----------------------------------------------------------

And finally the chorus should be altered to include the C#m from the chorus below...

D E A C#m F#m
Twenty thousand roads I went down, down, down
D E A
And they all lead me straight back home to you

Yep that's right. That chorus belongs to this classic Grammy jam. Weird, I know.

Christopher has brilliantly presented us with a lesson on influence. He's showing us what it sounds like to use influence to pay homage to an artist's tone and style without plagiarizing or losing artistic integrity.

Oh, and Chris, I'm sure you'll never read this but I have some questions about the craft. Have a heart Chrissybaby, help someone who's just trying to write good songs.
