Tabbed By : imessyou

Tuning: standard

These are the notes for the verse but there is something that makes me think the
organ played by Chris plays these notes, I think it's the sound. But I have tabbed
it for bass anyways

Intro/Verse
"When you try your best but you don't succeed..."
G|---------|----------|----------|-----------|
D|---------|8---10---8|----------|-----------|
A|-6---8-10|----------|-6----8-10|-----------|
E|---------|----------|----------|-10---8---6|

There is no bass in the chorus, which is kind of why I don't think there is a bass in the verse

However, the bass clearly kicks in for the beatiful, seraphim-like final chorus (begins at 3:02)

The bass mainly follows the chords but there are a couple of fills
G|------|------|------|------|------|------|------|------|
D|------|-6--6-|------|------|------|-6--6-|------|------|
A|-6--6-|------|-6--6-|------|------|------|-6--6-|------|
E|------|------|------|-6--6-|-8--8-|------|------|-6--6-|

Fill
G|--------------------|
D|-------------8------|
A|-6--8--10--------10-|
E|--------------------|

Great song. Email me with corrections if you want

During the last time through the chorus progression just before you hit the 'C' note, it plays a high 'G' note instead of the 'Bb'.

I also prefer the lower ocatve 'Ab' (Fret 4 on 'E string' rather than the tabbed Fret 6 on 'D string').

There is bass in the beginning. It comes in at "When the tears come down streaming down your face" at about 0:43.
