Song:God put a smile upon your face

Artist: Coldplay

Tabbed by: Carlos Ramirez

I saw the Coldplay Live 2003 DVD and I'm pretty sure he's playing
these chords; but if you don't wanna change your tuning, I'm giving you an alternate way of
playing it:

(as Chris plays it)

Tuning:(from low to high) C# G# C# F C# C#

INTRO AND VERSE:

       C#|-0--------------0--------------0------0-------------|
       C#|-0--------------0--------------0------0-------------|
       F |-0--------------3--------------2------1-------------|
       C#|-0--------------3--------------2------1-------------|
       G#|-0--------------x--------------x------x-------------|
       C#|-0--------------3--------------2------1-------------|

Where do we go nobody knows
I've gotta say I'm on my way down....etc

  CHORUS:

       C#|------0--------------0---------------0------------------|
       C#|------0--------------0---------------0------------------|
       F |------8--------------3---------------5------------------|
       C#|------8--------------3---------------5------------------|
       G#|------x--------------x---------------x------------------|
       C#|------8--------------3---------------5------------------|

and aah when you work it out I'm worse than you
yeah when you work it out I wanted to....etc

( as I play it)

Tuning: Standard with CAPO on the 2nd fret

INTRO AND VERSE:

e|--------X--------------X------------X-------X----------------------|
B|--------0--------------0------------0-------0----------------------|
G|--------4--------------4------------4-------4----------------------|
D|--------1--------------4------------3-------2----------------------|
A|--------2--------------5------------4-------3----------------------|
E|--------X--------------X------------X-------X----------------------|

Where do we go nobody knows
I've gotta say I'm on my way down....etc

CHORUS:

e|----2-------------2----------------0------------------------------|
B|----0-------------3----------------0------------------------------|
G|----0-------------2----------------1------------------------------|
D|----0-------------0----------------2------------------------------|
A|----X------------------------------2------------------------------|
E|----3------------------------------0------------------------------|
and aah when you work it out I'm worse than you
yeah when you work it out I wanted to....etc

MAIN RIFF:(this is standard tuning EADGBe)

       e|-9---------------------------------|
       B|---12-9/12--12---------------------|
       G|---------------13------------------| (repeat)
       D|------------------14/17--16\11-----|
       A|-----------------------------------|
       E|-----------------------------------|

1st e string: tune down to C#
2nd B string: tune UP to C#
3rd G string: tune down to F
4th D string: tune down to C#
5th A string: tune down to G#
