The Hardest Part - Coldplay - X&Y

Huge shout-out to Charlie Edmonds for providing the chords

[Used tuning] Eb G# C# F# Bb D

The tuning is quite simple, have a standard tuning and tune down every string a halfstep down and on
top of that tune the high E string down a half-step again (you can play it just by tuning to standard and
tuning the high E string a half-step down)

[Used chords]
    E E* G# C# F# B D#
 D|--0-----0------0-----0------0-----0-----0--|
Bb|--0-----0------0-----0------0-----0-----0--|
F#|--1-----13-----4-----9------3-----8-----11-|
C#|--2-----14-----6-----11-----4-----9-----13-|
G#|--2-----14-----6-----11-----4-----9-----13-|
Eb|--0-----12-----4-----9------2-----7-----11-|

Use your thumb to press down the lowest Eb string just like Chris Martin does.

[Intro]
 E G# C# E F# G#

[Verse]
        E
And the hardest part
    B D# G#
Was letting go not taking part
        E B D# G#
Was the hardest part
        E
And the strangest thing
    B D# G#
Was waiting for that bell to ring
           E B D# E*
It was the strangest start

[Chorus]
   E* B F# E
I could feel it go down
                    B F# E
Bittersweet I could taste in my mouth
                  B F#
Silver lining the clouds
       G# F# E D# C#
Oh and I - I
                            G#
I wish that I could work it out

[Solo]
G# E B D# x2

[Verse]
        E
And the hardest part
    B D# G#
Was letting go not taking part
           E D# G#
You really broke my heart, oh
      E
And I tried to sing
      B D# G#
But I couldn't think of anything
             E B D# E*
That was the hardest part, oh, oh

[Chorus]
   E* B F# E
I could feel it go down
             B F# E
You left the sweetest taste in my mouth
                  B F#
Silver lining the cloud
       G# F# E D# C#
Oh and I - I
       G# F# E D# C#
Oh and I - I
  C# D#
I wonder what it's all about
  C#
I wonder what it's all about

[Solo]
G# - E - B - D# x2 (the last time you play D# play it twice)

[Bridge]
             E G# C#
Everything I know is wrong
             E G# C#
Everything I do it just comes undone
                  E G# C#
And everything is torn a---part
                   E
Oh, and that's the hardest part
           F#
That's the hardest part
                 E
Yeah, that's the hardest part
           F# G#
That's the hardest part....
