tabbed by Steve Vetter
Please email all improvements!

Em G C

Em G C
Wind of fate was pride of [???] (rhymes with "lose." Anyone?)
Em G C
Light of mercy hurts my eyes
Em G C
Is it worth things you lose
Em G C
board the train and watch the sky
G C (not sure about this line)
I sing myself to sleep at night
  G Am " "
I sing myself to sleep

Em G C Em
            Another song about the rain
    G C Em
coming down it burns through me
    G C Em
            another song about the rain

Got a line straight from my heart
another time went to you
another place when we were smart
for the flood in time was through
I sing myself to sleep at night
I sing myself to sleep

            Another song about the rain
coming down it burns through me
            another song about the rain

Sorry now, I never made you see
Sorry now, sounds so far away
Will our child cry for me
When he hears the dragon's flame
Highway flare makes red the street
Fingers spin the dime again
But every stations calling to me
Another song about the rain

Another song about the rain (another song about the rain)
Coming down it burns through me "
Another song about the rain
Never rained so viciously

"Wind of fate was pride of Slough".

The "Pride of Slough" refers to the village of Slough, about half way between London and Reading, UK. Slough was known for being a cramped, industrial town with a dismal standard of living, so much so that it inspired poet John Betjeman to write a WWII era poem, "Slough" saying, "Come friendly bombs and fall on Slough!"

Love this song, however, the chords for the "I sing myself to sleep at night" part are wrong. The chord progression should be D/Em/C and then D/Em/D for those two lines.
