You said no strings could secure you at the station
Platform ticket restless diesels goodbye windows
I walked into such a sad time at the station
As I walked out felt my own need just beginning

I'll wait in the queue where the trains come by
I'll wait for you where the shadows run from themselves

 Gm F Dm C
 Gm F Dm C Am7

At the party she was kindness in the hard crowd
Consolation from the old wound now forgotten
Yellow tigers crouched in jungles in her dark eyes
She's just dressing goodbye windows, tired starlings

I'll sleep in this place with the lonely crowd
Lie in the dark where the shadows run from themselves

 Gm F Dm C
 Gm F Dm C Am7

Solo over the verse chords. Use the pentatonic scale in Dm.

The verse should be Dm instead of D major.

In the White Room with black curtains near the station
Dm Cadd9 G/B A# C

The guitar solo is in D-ambiguous scale as I'd like to call it. D-maj/min both work well over it, a fact that was not lost on Eric Clapton.

I disagree with the Dm comment. It just doesn't work when the thing is basically a bass run on the fifth string.
Other than that my only quibble would be the chord at the end of the 5:4 section where I play another C rather than an Am7.

This is, by far, the best of the versions on here.
