[Intro]

Am C F Am C F

[Verse 1]

Am
Pretty, but he don't tell you about it.
F
Winter scarves and skirts of velvet.
C G
We still drink just like we did in school.

[Verse 2]

Am
I passed your old house down by the cemetery.
F
Club nights and university.
C G
When your friends sing 'Born To Run' baby resist, 'cause we were 'Born To Drift'.

[Chorus]

C F
If you could see the wreck I am these days,
                                 Am
You'd have new reasons to stay away.

Just hold my hand for a little while.
F G
Misery never goes out of style.

[Re-Intro]

Am C F Am C F

[Verse 3]

Am
I see you sometimes in dreams I have,
F
In your bra in the room you used to rent.
C G
Do you ever wish you could wake someone else?

[Verse 4]

Am
So I wrote down a list of coroners,
F
Their names, their office phone numbers.
C G
To pronounce dead the thing we had.
G
In tombs, ex-boyfriends bedrooms.

[Chorus]

C F
If you could see the wreck I am these days,
                                 Am
You'd have new reasons to stay away.

Just hold my hand for a little while.
F G
Misery never goes out of style.
C F
If you could see the wreck I am these days,
                                 Am
You'd have new reasons to stay away.

Just hold my hand for a little while.
F G
Misery never goes out of style.

[Bridge]

         Em Am
I'm your chipped nail paint.
        C G
I'm the fabric of your coat.
        Em E Am
You are all I fear.
        C Em G
You are words I never wrote.
         Em Am
I'm your chipped nail paint.
        C G
I'm the fabric of your coat.
        Em Am
You are all I fear.
        C Em G
You are words I never wrote.
                  C
You are years ago.

[Chorus]

C F
If you could see the wreck I am these days,
                                 Am
You'd have new reasons to stay away.

Just hold my hand for a little while.
F G
Misery never goes out of style.
C

I think that the A's should be G's and the Em's should be Dm's but otherwise this is great, thank you for posting it! :)
