About this tab version

======================================================================================================

  Artist: Daft Punk
  Track: Get Lucky
  Album: Random Access Memories
  Year: 2013

  Key: F# Minor
  Chord progression: Bm - D - F#m - E
  Signature: 4/4
  BPM: ~ 116.0

    On the song:

This is actually a tricky one to play exactly like the original. Nile Rodgers, the guitarist who
played on the record, has quite a unique sound. It seems that the guitar part is overdubbed at
some parts. It might be too difficult for some. Fortunately, the chord progression is easy to play.
The album version has a longer intro - it's the one tabbed here.

    Technique:

The strumming pattern is the tricky part. Technically it should be played in very fast up-down
strokes, however it is not essential to get the right sound. There is a short video on YouTube where
Nile Rodgers shows how he plays it (youtube.com/watch?v=JcaVlNIZMFQ). The left hand is as important
here. To get the right sound it relaxes and mutes the strings constantly. I strongly recommend
watching a few videos about the strumming.

    Tone settings:

I use a strat set on the neck pickup, with tone set to full. On the amp, boost the treble, mids get
a small increase, and strictly for the rhythm guitar part, the bass is gets cut - but it can be left
for some nice bass parts on the left strings. Do not use excessive overdrive, reverb or delay - the
tone should be clean.

                                 Intro (album version):

The "+" sign indicates the start of the bar, where the piano plays the chord.

                                         Song:

This is a very similar pattern to the original one, the difference being
the lack of constant downward-upward motion.

This next way of playing it is a little bit easier, it lacks the bass note
and the D is played lower on the fretboard. You can combine the two for
     diversity.
