This sounds much better than the other one! See what you think. Another great song from Damo!

for the C/G(SLIDE)chord in the newyork newyork bit, slide the whole chord up to the 5th
i.e. baby finger and ring finger in the 5th fret. it sounds good!

Intro:

G G D C Am7 C/G

Verse:

G D C Am7 C/G
Flying over the sea, my guitar and me,
G D C Am7 C/G
40,000 feet, what a brilliant feat
G D C Am7 C/G

Were treated better there, a homeless one is rear

Chorus:

C G C Am7 C/G
I feel the city's lure,
C G C Am7 C/G
the apple of my eye, I cherish her.

Verse:

Everybody's here, from all across the earth,
Tongues and tribes galore, there isn't any war.

Chorus:

I feel the city's lure,
the apple of my eye, I cherish her,
I feel the city's warmth,
the apple of my eye, I cherish her.

New York, New York Im coming
New York, New York Im coming

Brilliant !

Ive been playing it but I ended up playin it this way.

Verse
G - - - - D - - - - Am7 - - - - Cmaj9

Chorus
C/G - - - - G - - - - Am7 - - - - Cmaj9 - - - - C

and New York part.

Im thinkin C/G is a C barred
so wen I play the chorus C/G, I play C barred then the G is a G barred.
