This is my first chord, so sorry if it is messed up. I know this is not in
the same key she sings it in, but it still works!

Verse
          G C D
She had a dead-end job at the national bank
       G C D
And a deadbeat husband who always drank
           G C D
So when he didn't come home she had the gin to thank
         Em D G C
For the tears in her eyes
   Em D G A
So Dixie packed up and said her goodbyes...

Chorus
             G C D
And she went driving so far away nobody's gonna find her
G C D
Flyin' just fast enough to leave it all behind her
Em D G C
But she didn't know till she hit the road, deep in her soul
Am
She's got the fire and the fight of a gypsy
C D
Ain't nothin' stronger than the heart of Dixie

G C D (heart of Dixie)

G C D

Verse
       G C D
It's a funny thing when your world falls down
           G C D
It's got a way of showin' you what you're all about
    G C D
Now Dixie's got her wheels pointed south
              Em D G C
And she ain't never look-ing back
Em D G A
Nobody knew she was brave like that

Chorus

G C D *let ring*

Bridge
      G C D
Yeah, Dixie woke up to the truth one day
            G C D
Grabbed her cheap sunglasses and her lipstick case...

Chorus

G C D
                 (the heart of Dixie)
G C D
   O-o-ooh (the heart of Dixie)
G C D G
        O-o-oh

Hope you enjoy! Again, I apologize for any mistakes!

I use the capo on 7 and it sounds more like her version.

In the video you can tell they play this with open E flat tuning with the above chords. No capo. There's a mandolin in the record so when you play the higher version chords, you are blending in with that.
