i checked out some of the tabs for this song and all of them were almost right
but not quite, so i listened a lot and finally got them right...the
picking...phhfftt...forget it...i suck at picking i just strum over it..plus u
can get it from the others..:D i'm pretty sure that this is correct b/c it
sounds exactly like when he plays it. you have to listen yourself for the strum
pattern though...there's no way i'm putting that all on here. good luck............

pm - palm mute
h - hammer
* - stoke upward once follow into next line
tuning - flat...Eb, Ab, Gb, Db, Bb, Eb,

 Verse 1

Epm h (at the end of each hammer, he palm mutes again)
breathe in for luck

Bpm H
breathe in so deep

     Apm H
this air is blessed

     C#m B E*
you share with me

Epm H
this night is wild

Bpm H
so calm, so dull

      Apm H
these hearts they race

     C#m B E*
from self-control

Epm H
your legs are smooth

   Bpm H
as they graze mine

      Apm H
we're doing fine

we're doing nothing at all

E F#m
my hopes are so high that your kiss might kill me

so wont you kill me

          B C#m B (here's where he picks...so i just put the chords)
so i die happy

E F#m
my heart is yours to fill or burst

             A B
to break or bury, or wear as jewelry

C#m B E*
whichever you prefer

V 2 (same chords as V1)
the words are hushed
lets not get busted
just lay entwined here
safe from the earth
and all it's stupid questions
hey did you get some
man that is so dumb
stay quiet, stay near, stay close
they can't hear
so we can get some

FYI: this part is off-beat so i tried to put the chords all a little off
beat...and they're all hammered except when switching chords...ah...shoot...just
listen and figure it out... but it also sounds ok with it on beat...if u cant do
the off-beat thing... :D

 C#m A
hands down this is the best date i can
    E B
ever remember i'll always remember

      C#m A
the sound of the stereo the dim of the soft lights

      E B
the scent of your hair that u twirled in your fingers

          C#m A
and the time on the clock when we realized it's so late

           E B
and the walk that we shared together

           C#m A
and the streets were wet and the gate was locked

        E B
so i jumped it and let you in

         C#m A
and u stood at your door with your hands on my waist

           E B
and you kissed me like you meant it

        C#m A
and i knew that you meant

           E B
that you meant it, that you meant it,
        C#m A E (this is NOT hammered)
and i knew that you meant it, that you meant it

that's pretty much it...an awesome song...got Q's...kaetrouble_11@hotmail.com
but don't email me just to be stupid...or i'll get pissed...ty :D

actually, you're wrong. in the recording of the electric version, he plays a C#5. Thats probably why you're hearing C#. But in the key of E, a C# chord would in fact be minor, as it is the vi chord of the key. now, i've never heard the acoustic version, so unless he plays a V of ii secondary dominant, the correct chord would be C#m. Will someone help raise the rating of this, this is a good tab.
