We passed upon the stairs, we spoke of was and when

                  A7 F
Although I wasn't there, he said I was his friend

Which came as some surprise, I spoke into his eye

I thought you died alone, a long long time ago

Oh no, Not me,

  Abm F
I never lost control,

       RIFF 2 RIFF 3
You're face, to face

         Abm A
With the man who sold the world

I smiled and shook his hand, and made my way back home.

                        A7 F
I searched for form and land, for years and years I roamed

I gazed a gazely stare, at all the millions here

We must've died alone, a long long time ago

We never lost control,

With the man who sold the world

Idiots?? Anyone who knows anything about music or has even listened to the Nirvana unplugged album knows this is a Bowie song. Cobain says it on the recording.
Copied?? It is called a cover. Fine tab with lyrics included, but keep your opinions out of it.

Right - Neil R Rose - they're not all morons; Bowie did it first - 100% FACT. He wrote it and released it in 1971 from the album of the same name. Lulu covered it (with Bowie's assistance) in 1974. How's that for Bowie History? Check it out.

As for the Nirvana version everyone's on about - I haven't heard it but seeing as it's Nirvana one of the most grossly over-rated bands of all time I'd say it is nothing compared to the original; Bowie.

I'd say you should listen to both of them before you make that decision. As for me, I much prefer the Nirvana cover.
