One morning in June some twenty years ago

I was born a rich man's son

I headed down the track, my baggage on my back

I left the city far behind

walkin' down the road, with my heavy load

tryin' to find some peace of mind

father said you'll be sorry, son,

if you leave your home this way

and when you realize the freedom money buys

you'll come running hoooome some day

I've been lookin' for freedom
I've been lookin' so long
I've been lookin' for freedom

I'll be on the run for many years to come

the freedom (freedom, freedom) I've been searching for

I was a special operations guy in 1989 and spent a lot time in Germany during 88-89-90. It was the most amazing thing to see, all Eastern Germany and Western Germany having one big ass party to celebrate what was happening New Year's Eve. 30 years later, we are all looking for freedom - again. God Bless the USA! I am not sure why I shared that, just felt like mentioning it as I play this song. Good Job!
