This is only my third tab here, and yet another David Nail song. It's an awesome
new tune that's fun and easy to play. You can also sing it just as well with a
capo on the 1st, but I capo the 2. I like to also keep the ring and pinky finger
of the 3rd fret B and high E string for the Em and D chords. It keeps it all in
one key. But it's the same pattern for the whole song except for the lead in to
chorus. If you listen to the song you'll know the rhythm. It's very simple, but if
there're any questions just comment :)

"Whatever She's Got"

Capo 2

(intro and fill in chords) Cadd9 G Em D
Cadd9 G D D
(verse and chorus chords) Cadd9 G Em D
(pre chorus) Em D

Verse 1
Cadd9 G Em D

She's a little complicated, she'll make her mind up just to change it.
The kind of girl that keeps you waiting, waiting around.
She likes to get her toes done bright red, she's always reapplying her lipstick.
The money river bank she's the first in, in the last town.

-pre-chorus-
Em D

She's got something I can't figure out, but everybody's talkin' bout'

-Chorus-
Cadd9 G Em D

She's got the blue jeans painted on tight, that everybody wants on a Saturday night.
She's got the mood ring, she's never the same. She's sunny one minute then she's pouring
down rain and she'll
Do whatever she wants, when she moves every jaw gonna drop and mine too, but I don't
want her to stop.
I want, I want, I want. Whatever she's got.

Yeah, I want whatever she's got.

-2nd verse-
Cadd9 G Em D

Tell your mind before you thought it, what you thought your plan was park it.
To figure out where your heart is, so twist it up.
Have you spending every weekend, and every penny you've been keeping.
Just to figure out what she's thinking, when you're thinking it's love.

-Chorus-
Cadd9 G Em D

Cause she's got the blue jeans painted on tight, that everybody wants on a Saturday night.

-Pre Chorus-
Em D

She's got me hanging on the ledge on the edge of a kiss, all I ever want to do is this.

-Chorus-
Cadd9 G Em D

She's got the blue jeans painted on tight, that everybody wants on a Saturday night.
She's got the mood ring, she's never the same. She's sunny one minute then she's pouring
down rain and she'll
Do whatever she wants, when she moves every jaw gonna drop and mine too, but I don't
want her to stop.
I want, I want, I want. Whatever she's got

-Chorus into fade-
Cadd9 G Em D

She's a little bit complicated, doesn't matter i'll keep on waiting for whatever she's got.

the progression you have here is pretty much bang on (its how i play it as well) however its not capo 1 or 2, if that suits your taste by all means theres nothing wrong with it. he plays it on capo 6 live and on the recording. i will post a completed version for anyone interested in how he plays. all in all a solid tab tho good job.

I agree, if you want to play along with the original, the capo is definitely on 6!
Also, I think the order of the chords in the verse and chorus is actually Cadd9 G D Em, whenever the Em is involved anyway.
Playing it along with the track, this progression seems to fit better!
But great job though, simple tab, easy to understand. :)

This is a good tab, however, the key David Nail plays the original song is more in line with capo on the 6. I (currently) have a version waiting for approval that compliments (capo 6) tuning half step down using G-D-A-Bm. Again, good tab regardless of actual key...
