                             GIRAFFE - David Tattersall
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tabbed by: Mit_
E-mail: ms_chsjb@yahoo.com

Tuning: standard

there is a capo on fret 2
there is a bass line that compliments, which i have not really provided.

    D G Bm A

e-|-2~--3-2-0-h2/p0--------------------------------------------|
B-|-3~--3-3-3--------3-3~~-----------7~----------5~------------|
G-|--------------------0~~-----------7~----------6~------------|
D-|-0~~--------------------------------------------------------|
A-|----------------------------------------------4~(4-4-4-4)---|
E-|--------------------3~~(3-3-5-5)--7~(7-7-7-7)---------------|

repeat this three times for the intro and then just the plucked chord variations (the D,
G, Bm, A variations) without the pulloffs/hammerons for the versus which go:

D G Bm A
I'm no better at this double dating than I am at roller skating,
D G Bm A
I stole my best friends money to play on the arcade machines,
D G Bm A D
We got on like a ton of bricks, weighed down by your million things you made me laugh.

-chorus:

G D A
Looked like a giraffe, in the morning,
          D~ G D~ G
with your long legs, and your long neck
          D A D G
with your long legs, and your long neck,
       A
in the morning
       D
in the morning

-

then back to the intro tune (with some extra riffs that are:)

e-|-2~--3-2-0-h2/p0----------------------7-9-7--5------5--------|

Shipwreck breaching every heal, I've got nothing left thats real,
D G Bm A D

fade out

a lot of the chord changes are mid-word with how long he holds 'long' and such, if you
know the song you can figure it out easily.
h= hammer on p= pull off s= slide,

again, implied chord variations for verses (and chorus) are:

     D G Bm A
e-|--2---------------------|
B-|--3----2-----7-----5----|
G-|-------0-----7-----6----|
D-|--0---------------------|
A-|-------------------4----|
E-|-------3-----7----------|

this is my first tab i think, at least my first in close to ten years, so i hope it is
clear, helpful and accurate.
you can play it with just the basic intro and chords if you'd like of course, i just
thought that i would be thorough and include (most) all the little riffs and such.
this is a beautiful song from a beautiful album by an incredible artist.

damn it,

D G Bm A

e-|-2~--3-2-0-h2/p0--------------------------------------------|
B-|-3~--3-3-3--------3-3~~-----------7~----------5~------------|
G-|--------------------0~~-----------7~----------6~------------|
D-|-0~~--------------------------------------------------------|
A-|----------------------------------------------4~(4-4-4-4)---|
E-|--------------------3~~(3-3-5-5)--7~(7-7-7-7)---------------|

those should be 7's under the Bm not 5's

B-|---3-3-------3----2-----------7/7/7/7/7/7/7/7---5-------|
G-|------------------0-----------7/7/7/7/7/7/7/7---6-------|
