[Intro]

[Verse]
                      Bb
She said I’ve got two kids and a grave plot
      Eb
Right next to my day job
       Bb F
And my husbands grave is parallel to mine
            Bb
And when we die we’ll go to heaven
         Eb
Cause we spent our whole lives beggin’
    Gm F Bb
For mercy from some old man in the sky

            Bb
I said well doesn’t that seem silly
            Eb
When theres so much left to see and do
       Bb
Don’t get me wrong just be yourself
    F
But darlin’ bet if I were you
    Bb
I'd go on cut my loses
         Eb
Burn the bills, say fuck the bosses
     Gm F Bb
And live a life adventurous and new

[Bridge]
Bb Eb Bb F
Bb Eb Gm F Bb

[Verse]
       Bb
Well I met a college student
       Eb
At the library last week
       Bb F
Eating adderall and crammin’ for a test
        Bb
He said I’m sorry but I can’t talk right now
   Eb
If I don’t get a 4.0
     Gm F Bb
I’ll never get a good job like my dad

             Bb
I said don’t work for your entire life
        Eb
Just to save up for a coffin
      Bb F
Don’t put too much stake in your grades and rank
     Bb
Just realize and remember
      Eb
There’s other places to travel to
          Gm F Bb
Then your job, the supermarket and the bank

[Chorus]
Gm
Don’t waste your best years
     Eb
Just livin’ for somebody else
Bb
Don’t waste your best years
     F
Just hidden behind a desk
Gm
Don’t waste your best years
            Eb
They’re the only ones you’ll ever get
   Bb F Bb
So why not play life closer to the chest

[Outro]
Bb Eb Bb F
Bb Eb Gm F Bb
Gm F Bb

These are the right chords, but to make it easier, and to play it the same way as they play it, put a capo on the third fret and play G C G D G C Em-D G. And for the chorus it's Em C G D
