Dm

[Verse 1]

Dm
Time to rethink
And begin
                    C
With a brand new game plan
Bb Dm
Margin for error is slim

Dm
He's on the brink
He could win
                    C
I can't use the same plan
Bb Dm
Time to start thinking like him

[Pre-Chorus]

Gm Dm
What would I do if I got inside his head?
Thought like him instead?
Gm
Could it be
Possibly
A
I'll catch him when

[Chorus]
                  Dm
I look through his eyes
           Gm
See what he sees
              Bb
And then improvise
            Gm C Dm
Until I can learn what puts him at ease

                 Gm
I'll walk in his shoes
              Bb
As long as it takes
                Bb
'Til deep in my bones
           C
I'm sure he is
Gm A Dm
One and the same as the me who is playing his game

[Verse 2]

Dm
What does he do
Late at night
                     C
When the world is sleeping?
Bb Dm
Does he see pixels, not dreams?

Dm
Hard to be true
Always right
                   C
All that promise keeping
Bb Dm
Harder I'm sure than it seems

[Pre-Chorus]
Gm Dm
How would it be if I saw the world like him?
Like a synonym?
Gm
Bit by
Wit by Wit
A
Catch him I win

[Chorus]
   Dm
I'll mimic his will
               Gm
And learn his routines
                  Bb
And feel the same thrill
           Gm C Dm
Whenever my end is served by his means

              Dm
I'll walk in his shoes
              Gm
As long as it takes
                Bb
'Til deep in my bones
  C
I'm sure he is
Gm C Dm
One and the same as the me who is playing his game

[Bridge]
Gm
Steady
                  Bb
I must be ever so careful

Don't move until you are ready
                  A
He will be careful too

Know it
                     Bb
Always stay calm and collected
                             Ebm
Don't lose your cool or you'll blow it
                    A
Then he will unravel you

[Chorus]
            Dm
Get into his head
              Gm
And under his skin
                Bb
The things that he said
                  Gm C Dm
The food that he likes, the places he's been
              Gm
I'll look through his eyes
                Bb
And see what he sees
               Gm C Dm
'Til I see the forest, not just the trees
              Gm
I'll mimic his will
                Bb
And learn his routines
                  Gm C Dm
And feel the same thrill and know what it means
               Gm
I'll walk in his shoes
              Bb
As long as it takes
               C
'Til deep in my bones
I'm sure I am
Gm A
Winning my game while I'm saying
Dm
I'm playing his game

What's the strumming pattern?

I'm sorry but I don't have an answer to that! I wrote this based off of my piano, and I usually play it on the piano not guitar. I also never really use strum patterns anyway. With this song, just play the chord at the first and last word of the phrase and just add emphasis to where you think. usually at the chorus i would play the chord twice at the last word of the line and then play the chords written like the Gm and C then back to that pattern. Usually just a strum where the chords are placed at the words is good? Sorry this probably didn't help
