This is my interpretation of "I am a stone (Acoustic)" by Demon Hunter.
I don't know if this is exactly what they play but I think it sounds pretty good.

Note: In the Acoustic version on the True Defiance Deluxe DVD they only play
the first verse and the bridge. This chord sheet includes both verses.

Cmaj9#11 (no 3rd)
--------------------
Okay this is a pretty complicated name for an easy chord.

e ---|---|-x-|---|---|
B ---|---|-x-|---|---|
G ---|---|---|---|---|
D ---|---|---|---|---|
A ---|---|---|---|---|
E ---|-x-|---|---|---|

Verse 1:

Em C G Cmaj9#11
It's hard to say that I'm back on a straight line
Em C G Cmaj9#11
You'll see my path is in fact just a fault line
Em C G Cmaj9#11
It's in my blood, it's in my lungs, and it won't die
Em C G Cmaj9#11
I fight these words, I bite my tongue, so I don't lie

Prechorus:

C Em D
Though it's me to blame, there is no more shame in me, in me
C
I just feel the same, immune to all this pain
Em D C
And the scars don't write a song for me at all
Em D C
No, your tears don't line a path for me to crawl

Chorus (2x):

       Em C
I am a stone, unaffected
     G Cmaj9#11
Rain Hell down onto me
          Em C
Flesh and bone, unaffected
     G D
Your fool I will not be

Verse 2:

Em C G Cmaj9#11
I tried to see and believe in the short-sight
Em C G Cmaj9#11
Accept the burn of a vain and a half life
Em C G Cmaj9#11
And how you rest your faith in these for a lifetime
Em C G Cmaj9#11
The hollow lie against my hope that I won't buy

Prechorus:

C Em D
Though it's me to blame, there is no more shame in me, in me
C
I just feel the same, immune to all this pain
Em D C
And the scars don't write a song for me at all
Em D C
No, your tears don't line a path for me to crawl

Chorus (2x):

       Em C
I am a stone, unaffected
     G Cmaj9#11
Rain Hell down onto me
          Em C
Flesh and bone, unaffected
     G D***
Your fool I will not be

Bridge:

D C
The waters rise above my eyes
D C
I will breathe it in and go out with the tide
D C
And when you think this is the end
D C
You will find me there where I have always been

Chorus (3x):

       Em C
I am a stone, unaffected
     G Cmaj9#11
Rain Hell down onto me
          Em C
Flesh and bone, unaffected
     G D
Your fool I will not be

       Em C G Cmaj9#11
I am a stone
       Em C G D Em
I am a stone

*** You can end the chorus on Cmaj9#11 on the repetition instead of D to achieve a
better transition to the bridge.

Not sure how you got cmaj9#11 out of that chord. That is truly a G/F# (G with an F# in the bass.) There's not even a C note in that entire chord. It's just a simple walk down in the bass line of the chord. They are very useful. Simple to play too.
