Cm x35543 D# 365343
G# 466544 A# 113331
A#7 686766

Verse 1:

  Cm G#
I haven’t really ever found a place that I call home
  Cm G#
I never stick around quite long enough to make it
   Cm G#
I apologise that once again I’m not in love
                     Cm G#
But it’s not as if I mind that your heart aint exactly breaking
            A#7 A#7
It’s just a thought, only a thought

Chorus:
          D# A# G#
But if my life is for rent
      D# A# G#
and I don’t lean to buy
       D# A# G#
Well I deserve nothing more than I get
    D# A# G#
Cos nothing I have is truly mine

Verse 2:

     Cm G#
I’ve always thought that I would love to live by the sea
   Cm G#
To travel the world alone and live my life more simply
  Cm G#
I have no idea what’s happened to that dream
    Cm G#
Cos there’s really nothing left here to stop me
            A#7 A#7
It’s just a thought, only a thought

Chorus:
          D# A# G#
But if my life is for rent
      D# A# G#
and I don’t lean to buy
       D# A# G#
Well I deserve nothing more than I get
    D# A# G#
Cos nothing I have is truly mine

          D# A# G#
But if my life is for rent
      D# A# G#
and I don’t lean to buy
       D# A# G#
Well I deserve nothing more than I get
    D# A# G#
Cos nothing I have is truly mine

Bridge:

      D# A# G# A#
While my heart is a shield and I won’t let it down
      D# A# G# A#
While I am so afraid to fail so I won’t even try
             G# A#
Well how can I say I’m alive

Chorus :
          D# A# G#
But if my life is for rent
      D# A# G#
and I don’t lean to buy
       D# A# G#
Well I deserve nothing more than I get
    D# A# G#
Cos nothing I have is truly mine

          D# A# G#
But if my life is for rent
      D# A# G#
and I don’t lean to buy
       D# A# G#
Well I deserve nothing more than I get
    D# A# G#
Cos nothing I have is truly mine

    D# A# G#
Cos nothing I have is truly mine
    D# A# G#
Cos nothing I have is truly mine
    D# A# G#
Cos nothing I have is truly mine

Shouldn't that G# in the bridge actually be Fm? That is:

While my [D#]heart is a [A#]shield and I [Fm]won?t let it [A#]down
While I am [D#]so afraid to [A#]fail so I [Fm]won?t even [A#]try
Well how can [Fm]I say I?m a[A#]live

Also, the chorus should be "don't learn to buy" (not "lean").

And the 2nd line of the second verse should be:

"To travel the world alone and live more simply"

not "live my life more simply".

I'll try to make a version out of it based on the stuff that you've got. I've got this song on VCR from a Total Request Live-like show. So hopefully that'll settle the problem

Dear GuitarLearner,
I've looked all of the versions of the chords and you was the best (the only good one). It's good except a few chords. But the song is on Eb Major. That's means that there can't be G#, D# or A# (I hope you know what i'm talking about). The chords can be Ab Eb, Bb and so on. Check it out on the Circle of the Fifth (link: http://www.jimmychanbluesharp.com.hk/gif/circle%20fifth.jpg)

thank you,
