Becky was the beauty from south Alabama,

I think he even did a little time in the slammer,

She snuck out one night and met me by the front gate,

we tore out of the drive, he peppered my tailgate,
A
What was I thinkin'

[Bridge]

B
Oh I knew there'd be hell to pay,
B
But that crossed my mind a little too late,

[Chorus]

            E D A
Cause I was thinkin' 'bout a little white tank top,
G E D A
Sittin' right there in the middle by me,
      E D
I was thinkin' 'bout a long kiss,
A G
Man I just gotta get,
E D A
Goin' where the night might lead,
B D - D - A - A

Out the the other side, she was hollerin' "faster"

Hit the honky tonk for a little close dancin'

What was I thinkin'

A G
Man I just gotta get
E D A

And like a bullet, we were gone again

Agreed about the barre chords comment. The only thing this does for me is help me work on my transposing skills, as I transpose the song back into its native key. Also, the 554010 chord you called a D11... Wow. There's a D in that chord, but it's not a D11 and, even with my large hands, that's a tough chord to play.

On that "D#9+/5+" part, just play a B for the whole thing. Also i'm not 100% about the G in the chorus- It fits but i don't think it's in the song
