GRANDMA GOT RUN OVER BY A REINDEER

	  E
CHORUS Grandma got run over by a reindeer
                                                A
walking home from our house Christmas Eve
                                               E
You can say there’s no such thing as Santa
              B E D A E
but as for me and grandpa we believe

                                       B
She'd been drinking too much egg nog
                                   E
and we warned her not to go
                             A
          but she forgot her medication
                  B E D#
and she wandered out the door into the snow

 	  C# G# B
When we found her Christmas morning
                                    E
at the scene of the attack
		                         A
there were hoof prints on her forehead
	       B E
and incriminating claw marks on her back

CHORUS
          It's not Christmas without grandma
all the family’s dressed in black
and we just cant help but wonder
should we open up her gifts or send them back !

CHORUS
Now were all so proud of grandpa
he's been taking this so well
see him in there watching football
drinking beer and playing cards with cousin Mel

CHORUS
Now the goose is on the table
and the pudding made of fig
and the blue and silver candles
that would just have matched the hair in grandmas wig

CHORUS
I've warned all my friends and neighbors
better watch out for your selves
they should never give a license
to a man who drives a sleigh and plays with elves !
CHORUS
CHORUS up 1 full note

This will always be my favourite Christmas song! I love it even more now that I can play it!

I'm new to learning with chords — I usually use tab. When I strum a chord, do I keep playing it (like duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh) until I change chords, OR just play the chord and sustain until the next chord (like this: duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhh)? Thx in advance

Like (Duh duh duh duh duh duh) for most songs. For a few very slow songs you may just do one strum per chord, but using a strum pattern and strumming until the the next chord change is much more common :D
