Take It Easy chords
The Eagles 1972 (Jackson Browne and Glenn Frey)

G Am7\G D7sus\G 2x

G

          G
Well, I'm running down the road

tryin' to loosen my load
                     D C
I've got seven women on my mind,
G
Four that wanna own me,
D
Two that wanna stone me,
C G
One says she's a friend of mine,

        Em D C G
Take it easy, take it easy
              Am C
Don't let the sound of your own wheels
          Em
Drive you crazy
        C G
Lighten up while you still can
           C G
Don't even try to understand
            Am C
Just find a place to make your stand
            G
and take it easy

            G
Well, I'm a standing on a corner

in Winslow Arizona
            D C
Such a fine sight to see
       G D
It's a girl, my Lord, in a flatbed
             C G
Ford slowin' down to take a look at me

         Em D C G
Come on, baby, don't say maybe
        Am C
I gotta know if your sweet love is
      Em
gonna save me
       C G
We may lose and we may win though
        C G
we will never be here again
        Am C
so open up, I'm climbin' in,
        G
take it easy..."Alright"

         G
Well I'm running down the road trying to loosen
                                D C
my load, got a world of trouble on my mind
G D
lookin' for a lover who won't blow my
             C G
cover, she's so hard to find

        Em D C G
Take it easy, take it easy
              Am C Em
don't let the sound of them old wheels drive you crazy,
        C G C G
come on baby, don't say maybe
        Am C G C
I gotta know if your sweet love is gonna save me

C G C G C G

It's definitely a "C" just like all the other verses. The Am only shows up in chorus.

The chord on "mind" in the last verse is an Am7, listen carefully to any Eagles recording of the song, live or on the albums.
