[Intro]

D

[Verse 1]

D
Such is the way of the world
          G
You can never know
D
Just where to put all your faith
        G
And how will it grow

[Chorus]

     A
Gonna rise up
D G
Bringing back holes and dark memories
      A
Gonna rise up
D G
Turning mistakes into gold

[Interlude]

D - A - G (x2)

[Verse 2]

D
Such is the passage of time
    G
Too fast to fold
    D
And suddenly swallowed by signs
   G
Low and behold

[Chorus]

      A
Gonna rise up
D G
Find my direction magnetically
      A
Gonna rise up
D G
Throw down my ace in the hole

[End]

A - D - G (x2) / D - D - D (x2) / A - G - D

This is a good start. You just want your "D" to go from (roughly--you have to feel this out, as it changes) XX0232, XX0233 and XX0235.

And you want your G to go between (roughly, again-- I think I'm missing something here) 320033 and 32003.

And finally you want your A to go from X02220, X02200 and X02230.

There are more subtleties in at least some of the chords, but I don't have it all figured out. Anyways, that should lead in the right direction at least.

well the truth is, if you're trying to play it on guitar, it's never really gonna sound right, because it's played on mandolin.

^ Obviously, but it can be played pretty well on guitar this way.
