The way you wrote out the chorus works, for sure. It depends on however you are most comfortable and how you want to voice the chords. You have the 5th as the bass note of the C and B chords (and they're an octave lower from where I play it). Also gotta make sure to mute the 3rd string on that Badd11 if you voice it your way. Totally a matter of preference. I like playing around with sliding into the Cmaj7 from the Badd11.

I've just been strumming the full chords on that part, but Elliott does something more like what you wrote out with the individual E and B notes before the chords.
