Em7 Em7 A7
She packed my bags last night pre-flight, zero hour, nine A.M.
C G/B Am C/G D/F#
And I'm gonna be high, as a kite by then
Em7 A7 Em7 A7
I miss the earth so much, I miss my wife, it's so lonely out in space
C G/B Am C/G D/F# D/A D
On such a time- less flight

G C G
And I think it's gonna be a long, long time 'till touch down brings me round again to find
                                    C G/B A
I'm not the man they think I am at home, oh no, no, no, I'm a rocket man
C G (=C) C
Rocket man, burning out his fuse up here alone
G C G
And I think it's gonna be a long, long time 'till touch down brings me round again to find
                                    C G/B A
I'm not the man they think I am at home, oh no, no, no, I'm a rocket man
C G (=C) C
Rocket man, burning out his fuse up here alone

Em7 A7 Em7 A7
Mars ain't the kind of place to raise your kids, in fact it's cold as hell
C G/B Am C/G D/F# D/A D
And there's no one there to raise them, if you did
Em7 A7 Em7 A7
And all this science I don't understand, it's just my job, five days a week
          C G/B Am C/G D/F# D/A D
A rocket man, a rocket man

C G (=C)
And I think it's gonna be a long, long time (repeat and fade)

(for =C, hammer on and pull off the C chord while leaving the G bass note)

No, the chord progression is incorrect in the verse.
THe correct sequence when the change to C occurs is: C G/B Am Am/G D
The fingering for the G/B and Am/G chords is as follows:
G/B X20013 and Am/G 3X2013

Also Em7 and A7 or A9 is much better than Em and A in the verse

toni rocka - I made those changes - they sound good. However, I called it C/G instead of Am/G (your fingering would fit C/G also). Thanks!
