for me as it is, on 1st Fret, but after " D7 - D - D7 - D " keep changing

Dexter, I doubt that you will read this since you posted over 3 years ago.
But, in case you do, please explain the key change at the end. I know
it goes up one half step. The chords you indicated starting with
"You'd be a fool" don't make sense. You go from a G,G7 and then to
a B and then a G? I don't understand this. The melody starts at the
root chord, goes to the 4th, then to the 5th, back to the root. Very simple. It is essentially a very common country song chord pattern.
In the new key of F# the chords should be F# F#7 Bmaj. C# and back to F#.
If you go up one whole step to the key of G major, then the chords
would be G, G7, C, D and back down to G. Very simple.
Then, your final chord is a B? What? Only if you are playing in the
key of B. The song ends on the root chord.
