I dunno, when I tried to work it out it sounded like a low B power-chord, so who knows? Maybe they did for that song.

what they do is they play the chord like this:

----
----
--4-
--4-
--2-
--2-

its still a B5, but that low F# adds that low tone to it, making it sound lower that it is actually played.

a cool thing to do in a dropped tuning like Dropped D or something is to play something like this (shown how in standard above by kumamilesbear):

e---------- and it sounds like e----------
B---------- a lower version B----------
G---------- of the power chord G----------
D---5------ you would be playing D---5------
A---3------ without the low A---3------
D---5------ dropped string D----------
