For the A9/F# i like to play:

which is an Amaj13 without the 3rd (i think) followed by the A9/F#
its a bit trickier to play but sounds more like the keyboard chords

Thanks Crubba,

You're quite right, but how do you finger it to get a clean open A? Looks a bit of a stretch to me!

The real lead line is played higher up, on the top 4 strings only; this version here is more for rhythm strummers.

I have posted a separate tab for the accurate version called 'Photoshop Handsome Intro'.

I play the bass note (on the low E string) with my thumb curled over the top of the fretboard, the 2s on the D and G with my first and middle fingers (respectively) and then the 4 on the high E string with my pinky (little finger).

Yeh it is a bit of a stretch but I have big hands so I can deal with it ok - it might be a problem if you have smaller hands than me :P
