I think these chords work as accompaniment for Ewan McColl's original acapella version of this beautiful
song. I originally worked the chords in B flat minor for the keyboard but found them too difficult to play
on the guitar, but played in A minor with capo on the 1st fret replicates the original key.

Ewan McColl's original acapella version can be found on YouTube ~ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9Qv5dBHElg

[VERSE]
       Am Em Am
That's another day gone by son, close your eyes
        C D7 E
Now the moon is chasing clouds across the sky
      G Bb
Go to sleep and have no fear, son
         Am Em
For your mam and dad are near, son
        Am Em Am
And the giant is just a shadow on the wall

[VERSE]
      Am Em Am
Go to sleep, and when you wake it will be light
           C D7 E
There's no need to fear the darkness of the night
         G Bb
It's not like the dark you find, son
       Am Em
In the depth of some men's minds, son
     Am Em Am
That defies the daily coming of the dawn

[VERSE]
    Am Em Am
Lie easy in your bed and grow up strong
          C D7 E
You'll be needing all your strength before too long
           G Bb
For you'll soon be on your way, son
         Am Em
Fighting battles every day, son
        Am Em Am
With an enemy who thinks he owns the world

[VERSE]
          Am Em Am
Stop your crying now, let daddy dry your tears
           C D7 E
There's no bogeyman to get you, never fear
           G Bb
There's no ogres, wicked witches
     Am Em
Only greedy sons of bitches
        Am Em Am
Who are waiting to exploit your life away

[VERSE]
          Am Em Am
Don't you let 'em buy you out or break your pride
          C D7 E
Don't you let yourself be used then cast aside
       G Bb
If you listen to their lying
          Am Em
They will con you into dying
          Am Em Am
You won't even know that you were once alive

[VERSE]
        Am Em Am
No more talking now, it's time to go to sleep
          C D7 E
There are answers to your questions, but they'll keep
      G Bb
Go on asking while you grow, son
      Am Em
Go on asking 'til you know, son
         Am Em Am
And then send the answers ringing through the world

This is a beautiful song and Lizia's chord really fit the bill and are ideal for finger picking
