Funny How Love Is
Fine Young Cannibals

Tuning: EADGBE

A beautiful song, played to a bossa nova rhythm on the recording. Sounds lovely in its'
incarnation, even with the reverb drenched 80's production, and stays just as strong on
solo acoustic guitar. Bliss!

The timing is a cinch, one bar per chord change

Introduction
Em - Em/Eb - D - A/C# - C - B7 - Am - B7

Verse 1 (the verse chord sequence is the same as the intro)

Em Em/Eb D A/C#
I'm going to places we used to go

C B7 Am B7
I still see people we used to know

Em Em/Eb D A/C#
Friends they ask me where is she now

  C B7 Am B7
I have to tell them we're over now

Refrain

G A/C# C Am
When at first you left I thought I'd surely die

G A/C# C B7
I couldn't see a future without you by my side

G A/C# C Am
We're not together but I'm still alive

G A/C# C B7
I'd rather not see you for a very long time

It doesn't get much better than this song. I hope I've done it justice!

You are right, it doesn't get much better than this song. It's far and away my favorite FYC song and among my faves period. And yes, you did do it justice. Thank you.
