Fleet Foxes - He Doesn't Know Why

Intro: D

G A G G
Penniless and tired, let your hair grow long
	Em Bm F#m G
I was looking at you there and your face looked wrong
D Em F#m G
Memory is a fickle silent song
   A
I didn't understand

G A G G
Image and a light as the morning nears
	  Em Bm F#m G
you don't say a single word of your last two years
          D Em F#m G
Well you will be, you'll reach the frontier
   A
I didn't understand, oh

G A G G
See your wringing hands and a silver knife
	  Em Bm F#m G
Twenty dollars in your hand that you hold so tight
           D Em F#m G
All the evidence of your vagrant life
     A
My brother you were born

G A G G
And you will try to do what you did before
          Em Bm F#m G
Pull the wool over your eyes, for a week or more
         D	Em F#m G
Let your family take you back to your
A
Original mind.

            D
There's nothing I can do
            G D
There's nothing I can do
            D
There's nothing I can say
            G D
There's nothing I can say

I can say

Outro: D

the third G in the first line of each verse should be an A, don't know how that happened sorry. Apart from that they are absolutely correct, just a semi-tone higher then in the actual song for ease of chords. Didnt you notice this?! hehe
