About this tab version
This tab only includes the "Third of May" section and not "Odaigahara" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6GqgNebPm50). Sometimes Robin resolves the Cmaj7-C and sometimes he doesn't. Its kind of hard to discern between the strumming and the baseline walking up to G on top of it. Somebody should double check that. When progressing from F#m-G use barre chords, its much easier. The song is in 3/4 time and has a pretty standard waltz strum pattern. Was this info helpful? Yes No

Listen
[Verse 1]
D Cmaj7/E C G
Light ended the night, but the song remained
                        D Cmaj7/E C G
And I was hiding by the stair, half here, half there, past the lashing rain
                              D Cmaj7/E F#m G
And as the sky would petal white, old innocent lies came to mind
      A G D
As we stood, congregated, at the firing line

[Verse 2]
D Cmaj7/E C G
Night ended the fight, but the song remained
                       D Cmaj7/E G
And so I headed to the wall, turned tail to call to the new domain
                       D Cmaj7/E F#m G
As if in the sight of sea, you're suddenly free but it's all the same
        A G D G
Oh, but I can hear you, loud in the center
A G D G D Cmaj7/E F#m G
Aren't we made to be crowded together, like lea----------ves?
 D Cmaj7/E F#m G

[Refrain 1]
      F
Was I too slow?
        Am Em
Did you change overnight?
       G
Second son, on the other line

[Verse 3]
D Cmaj7/E C G
Now, back in our town as a castaway
                    D Cmaj7/E C G
I'm reminded of the time it all fell in line, on the third of May
                D Cmaj7/E F#m G
As if it were designed, painted in sand to be washed away
        A G D G
Oh, but I can hear you, loud in the center
A G D G D Cmaj7/E F#m G
Aren't we made to be crowded together, like lea----------ves?
D Cmaj7/E F#m G

[Refrain 2]
      F
Was I too slow?
      Am Em
Did I change overnight?
       G Dm
Second son, for the second time
