                             Foals - What Went Down
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tabbed by Aleksander Vedom

Key: G minor
Tuning: I find Drop C the most convenient, you can play in any tuning you like.

Chords played in intro and verse

D|--------|
A|--------|
F|--------|
C|-5-7-2--|
G|-3-5-0--|
C|--------|

after strumming the latter power chord in verse fade in to pre-chorus with strumming the
same chord but now palm muted

D|---|
A|---|
F|---| - on loop until chorus
C|-2-|
G|-0-|
C|---|
pm .

Now this riff is played in
pre-chorus (palm muted & relatively clean) and
chorus (with more distortion and attack).
It was really a challenge to figure this one out to be honest :DD

it has some extra spacing so that it makes sense in 4/4
 D|-------------------------------------|--------------------------------------|
 A|-------------------------------------|--------------------------------------|
 F|-------------------------------------|--------------------------------------|
 C|-------------------------------------|--------------------------------------|
 G|-3-3-3-3--3-0-0-2--2-2-2-2b--2-0-0-0-|-3-3-3-3--3-0-0-3/5--5-5-5-2--2-2-0-0-|
 C|-------------------------------------|--------------------------------------|

->|-------------------------------------|--------------------------------------|
->|-------------------------------------|--------------------------------------|
->|-------------------------------------|--------------------------------------|
->|-------------------------------------|--------------------------------------|
->|-3-3-3-3--3-0-0-2--2-2-2-2b--2-0-0-0-|-3-3-3-3--3-0-0-0--5-5-0-0--7-7-x-x---|
->|-------------------------------------|--------------------------------------|

Bridge is mostly crazy synth/xylophone stuff but there are a few recognizable guitar notes
so just mess around with them

D|------------------------------------------|
A|-10b-10-10b-10-12-12-12-12-10-10-10-10-8~-|
F|------------------------------------------|
C|------------------------------------------| and so on a couple times
G|------------------------------------------|
C|------------------------------------------|

Play this note in pre-chorus if you wish

D|----|
A|-10-|
F|----|
C|----|
G|----|
C|----|
pm .

End on

D|---|
A|---|
F|---|
C|---|
G|-7-|
C|---|

Order:

Intro
Verse
Pre-chorus
Chorus
Verse
Pre-chorus
Chorus
Bridge
Pre-chorus
Chorus

For prechorus and chorus, the time signature is 4/4; for the bridge is 3/4 and for the verse I think it's something like 7/8 (I'm not quite sure). It's a good work, man! Check out my version of Tron.

Forget what I said, the verse is in 3/4, and the tempo is arround 146 bpm.
