On the track I'm listening to (YouTube) it sounds like the "G" is being held for the bass while the progression goes to the "D" and "C"...So it would look like this on the progression....G, D/G, D/C, G.
This repeats until the chorus...
On the Chorus, it sounds like there is G/B in several places...such as on the words "answer" and "I'll" and "says". There is also what sounds like a diminished or minor chord at several places in the chorus.

When they get past the solo parts, some of the placement of the chords changes. Overall...this is a good progression. You are technically correct with the progression, the additional notes referenced above are already in the notes indicated, it just adds some varying depths to the music and progression based on what I'm hearing on the vid. I'm just a particular musician and want to exploit every nuance of sound coming from the music...lol
