About this tab version
Based on the version from the studio album "Absolute Loser." Believe it's actually no capo and E is the starting note. Watching him play it live, he plays it as a D (capo 3), so this follows suit, but blends with the studio recording. Was this info helpful? Yes No

[Intro]
D

[Verse]
D
Said you never felt lower
Bdim
Looking at her over your shoulder
Em G D
Slow motion, slipping away
D
She's writing songs about leaving something
D7
Sad ones about believing in one thing
G Em A
and watching it fade away

[Pre-Chorus]
A A7 D
And if you'd given me most of you
         A A7 D
I'd have handed over all of me
    F#m E7
But it's in the rearview

[Chorus]

G F#m
    My baby
       Em D (riff)
Baby bluebird

[Verse]
D
Say it's never over
Bdim
Chipping away at the boulder
Em G D
Spinning those wheels
D
Writing songs about coming undone
D7
I've fallen in love with the idea of someone
G Em A
Who is it gonna be

[Pre-Chorus]
A A7 D
But still when I saw you
A A7 D
My heart it split clear in two
   F#m E7
So pretty in the rearview

[Chorus]
G F#m
   My baby
      Em G A
Baby bluebird

[Pre-Chorus]
    A A7 D
And if you'd given me most of you
         Gm/D A7 D
I'd have handed over all of me
    F#m E7
But it's in the rearview

[Chorus]
G F#m
  My baby
      Em G
Baby bluebird
G F#m
My my my my baby
       Em G
Baby bluebird
G F#m
My, my my my baby
       Em D (riff)
Baby bluebird

Eric D. Johnson plays this song with a capo 3rd fret and a dropped D tuning.

Pretty sure, it's A G6 D instead of A A7 D in the pre-chorus.
